Lone Pine Hotel - Batu Ferringhi, Penang

Lunch at The Bungalow, Lone Pine Hotel on the day before returning to campus.

The idea of doing nothing but to simply enjoy and let be within this tucked-away gem is simply compelling in the middle of a hectic week.

Dining Room at Macalister Mansion

Dinner at Macalister Mansion's Dining Room. Of pristine white to eggshell blues and comfy dinner under canopies and leaves.

Compliments of the chef

Wagyu Bavette - Chargrilled, Salsify in Two Ways, Orange and Carrot Purée  Crème fraîche Polenta and Sautéed Shimeji
Vibrant colours

Cod - Pan-seared Miso Cod with Braised Shimeji, Olive Soil, Caviar and Watercress Purée

Didn't manage to try anything from the Cellar or the Den as we were in a rush, shame as I'd quite fancy a whisky. It'd be wonderful if the Den had a whisky-tasting event

Shots before dinner.

Manager of Macalister Mansion mentioned that they come up with new menus for the Dining Room every two months - in fact, today is the new menu launch.

*Ah-hem* This calls for a re-visit for a dinner this weekend, perhaps?

Living Room at Macalister Mansion

The swanky Macalister Mansion in Georgetown, Penang was the last stop for Hui's birthday celebration

A peak into The Lawn - a relaxing compound amidst the hustle of Macalister Road.

Greetings from the Macalister Facated Head on the drive way

Entrance to the Living Room

Quite a selection of TWG tea is served here.

The cake was very dry and flaky - it tasted stale. The daintily-layered dessert - looked so deceivingly pleasing - I was greeted with a strong hit of cocoa powder and texture of some soft carpet.

Nevertheless, easy on the eyes decor.

Next, the Dining Room.
